Sucks. There is nothing to listen to in the morning. Howard Stern is so boring lately, Alice is annoying, everything sucks. All I ask is for some morning radio that is remotely intelligent and entertaining for my 15 minutes alone - or at least one of the two. Even AM radio kills me with the weather every 2.2 seconds!

I think, depending on the format, every station has its low points. Scanning the frequencies, I can usually find something interesting or entertaining. In general though, the quality of many of the morning shows has deteriorated since every one was put on their best PC behavior. This has dampened much of the carefree humor that had been spontaneous. And yes it has effected all formats except NPR. Freedom of speech, often comes with a price tag.

Radio is evolving. Even the format names are changing. Just scan XM channel names to get an idea where it's heading. I think you'll see more Analog stations follow suit. If the FCC would ever get off their bureaucratic buns, we might be able to get full digital broadcasts approved in the FM and AM frequencies, then you could open your own radio station for about $10K and wouldn't that be interesting. Instead of 95.9, you could listen to 95.91, 95.92 etc.
That's where radio should head, if it the FCC ever let it become an open market.

They need to be stopped.
Experian.
I have been trying to get a loan, I have minimal credit history, I have one bad report from Experian.
I contacted the Bank where I supposedly have a bad account, they do not have my name on file, they do not have the account number.I was told to go through Experian to fix it.
I tried to contact them to take off the erroneous claim and to add my credit card which I have had for over 20 years. I have been able to contact TransUnion and Equifax online, they both have given me a phone number. As for Experian (which is the only one whom is reporting the erroneous claim) I was unable to contact them by phone or online. They write me (by mail),they want info because they have no trace of my current address(which I have been for the last 4years). A copy of my driver license and a copy of a utility bill, Bank or insurance statement, write them my SSN and my DOB.
They not only report erroneous facts, they make it extremely difficult to fix the problem and they put me at risk of identity theft.
Their reporting is not only inaccurate but detrimental. Experian always had my addresses all messed up, such as wrong door numbers, wrong street, wrong time of stay etc….
This is who Business inquire to, to process your loan application etc….
This is who holds all your vital information.
Why haven’t the people, the government or anyone stopped them yet?
They should be closed down.
I was unable to write a complaint with BBB, as it keeps coming back as invalid name or address (I used what is on their latest mail piece to me)
I looked into consumer protection.gov. There doesn’t seem to be a place to write a complaint.
How do you stop this irresponsible, unprofessional business, with their unethical practice?

Don Imus is both intelligent and entertaining; some love him, some hate him. Most people worth listening to elicit strong responses from listeners, either pro or con. I don't know if he's on in the bay area, but if so I recommend you try him. Stern is lame. His show on E! is terrible.

I was just thinking this on the way to work this morning. You either have a bunch of babble that may or may not pass for humor or repetitive "news". The only place I could find music was the "easy listening" station. Hello! I just woke up, want to hear something peppy.

I just rented a car this weekend with Sirius Satellite radio in it. It was great -- 185 channels to chose from. I'm getting it. Goodbye lame local radio.

I agree that morning radio has really gone downhill. That's why I listen to Internet radio. I'm at my computer all day anyway. One of my favorites is www.throwbackrock.com

I live in Denver. Morning radio here has sucked for a long time: Wacky DJ's. Morning Zoo's. Gimme a break!
I have had XM for about 2 years and love it! The only thing I listen to locally is a local talk show in the late morning on AM radio.

The fact that you ever considered Howard Stern entertaining is way beyond me. As far as I can tell the man has absolutely no talent. I hung out with guys in high school that were more intelligent and a whole lot funnier. If you want to start your day with a laugh, look for The John-Boy and Billy Big Show. The cast has real chemistry. They make you feel like you're spending time with a bunch of your close friends(witty, talented friends). There is nothing politically correct about this show. If they feel it, they say it. I'm not a morning person but I have a much brighter attitude after a few minutes of this show.
